PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY

EXPERIENCING PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY AT WORK UNLOCKS PERFORMANCE

Too many organisations are still unclear about what psychological safety is and how it relates to organisational performance. Psychological safety is a felt experience. Each of us experience psychological safety differently. All individuals and their leaders require support to understand and define psychological safety as it applies to themselves and how they may impact the psychological safety of others. It is a complex topic to understand, however, once it is examined with curiosity and kindness it can become a powerful force for supercharging trust, teamwork and performance,

EXPERT PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING

Our team are qualified experts in psychological safety in the workplace.

We are a team of organisational psychologists, industrial relations experts and lawyers. We keep our skills and knowledge up-to-date through both mandatory professional development and our love of learning in this field.

We are all experienced leaders in our field with backgrounds in organisations, which enables us to understand the issues, challenges and pressures experienced in the modern workplace.

Our knowledge and lived experience positions us to effectively support organisations and their people to build psychologically safe workplaces.

We can facilitate the creation of processes, guidelines, communications and workshops that help organisations understand, assess and enhance psychological safety across the organisation.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY ASSESSMENT

“Psychological safety isn't about being nice. It’s about giving candid feedback, openly admitting mistakes, and learning from each other.” Dr Amy Edmondson

We are delighted to be accredited in Dr Edmondson's psychological safety assessment tool, known as the Fearless Organisation Scan (FOS). The scan has been developed from extensive research by Dr Edmondson at Harvard University and is supported by Dr Edmondson's book and practices.

We utilise the scan, together with qualitative data, to assess and assist teams to reflect, action plan and commit to initiatives that build psychological safety.

LEADER AWARENESS

Leaders are of critical importance in building psychological safety. Trust between leaders and team members is needed for effective team performance. Leaders directly impact their team's perception of psychological safety. Psychological safety starts with the leader's behaviour.

We facilitate workshops for leaders to build their awareness of psychological safety and to demonstrate how what they say and do may impact their team members. We use scenarios to build understanding and constructively challenge established potentially and unhelpful thinking patterns.
